Introduction

We used a data set pulled from the American Kennel Club website that featured information on the traits and popularity of 195 purebred dog breeds.

In our analysis, we asked questions about:

• Dog breed popularity over time

• Relationship between coat type and increases/ decreases in popularity

• Traits most associated with popularity or lack of popularity

• Trait values in most popular and least popular breeds
